Your responsibilities

As a special teacher, you have a significant role in the school's preventive and health-promoting work where you provide advice and support to working groups, student groups, and individual students. You represent the student health team and collaborate closely with teachers to identify students' educational needs through mapping, investigations, and work with action programs as well as follow-up of additional adaptations.

The work takes place in teams in close collaboration with other special teachers, special educators, and educators, where you are an important resource in the analysis of student results and in planning educational measures. You also collaborate with the principal and other professionals within student health regarding students in need of support and contribute to developing student health work at an organizational level. With a good ability to listen and include colleagues in joint decisions, you create conditions for a developing collaboration and accessible learning environments. The assignment also includes working with individual students or student groups, where you adapt materials and teaching arrangements based on students' needs.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher with a degree as a special teacher with a focus on reading and writing or mathematics. You have good skills in handling computers and other technical aids in your daily work. You have an interest in students and their individual conditions for learning and development, as well as good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written. If you have experience working in school operations or as a special teacher, we see it as an advantage for the position.

As a person, you are secure, calm, communicative, and have an understanding that all students have different conditions and absorb knowledge in different ways. You also understand the special educational mission and the importance of building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You adapt easily to new situations and are happy to contribute your own ideas and suggestions, as well as drive development processes independently. You are structured and plan your work effectively. You show great commitment in your role and want to work with us to provide children with a safe and equitable education.

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police's criminal record.
